Job Description
Social Media Influencer & Brand Ambassador (Full-Time) — Rodeo Cannabis Co. Rodeo Cannabis Co Stamford, CT Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Paid holidays Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Hospitality Community management Canva Driving TikTok Instagram Full Job Description What You'll Actually Do Be the face of the brand (about 60% of the job) Create and star in 5-7 pieces of short-form content per week — TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts. Concept it, shoot it, edit it, post it, live in the comments. Build and grow Rodeo's owned channels: content calendar, captions, hashtags, trends, community management, DMs. Turn product drops, new strains and dispensary partnerships into content people actually want to watch. Capture everything at pop-ups, harvests, behind-the-scenes and events — you're the one with the phone up. Bring us ideas. We want a point of view, not a scheduler. Run the pop-ups (about 40% of the job) Work 3-5 in-store pop-ups a week at partner dispensaries across Connecticut. You're setting up the table, repping the merch, talking to every single customer who walks by. Build genuine relationships with budtenders and store managers — they're the ones recommending us when you're not in the room. Educate consumers on our products with accurate, compliant, non-medical talking points. Know the lineup cold. Hit and report on pop-up goals: units moved, samples of merch out the door, emails/follows captured, budtender conversations logged.
Own the logistics:
load-in, display setup, inventory of collateral, breakdown, recap. Report on it Weekly numbers on reach, engagement, follower growth and pop-up performance. We'll teach you what to track — you just have to care about the results. Who We're Looking For You're 21 or older (hard requirement — state law, no exceptions). You have a portfolio of short-form video you personally created and appeared in. We care way more about your last 20 videos than your follower count. An existing following in CT/New England cannabis, music, food or lifestyle is a big plus — but a great creator with 2K real fans beats a dead account with 80K. You can shoot and edit on your phone — CapCut, Reels editor, Premiere, whatever. Fast turnaround, decent eye, no film degree required. You're genuinely good with people in person. Retail, hospitality, bartending, promo, sales floor — that energy translates. This is not a work-from-your-bedroom job. Reliable vehicle and clean driving record. You'll be on I-91 and I-95 a lot. You can lift 30 lbs and stand for a 5-hour pop-up shift. You're organized enough to be trusted alone in someone else's store representing our brand. Cannabis knowledge is a plus, not a prerequisite — we'll train you on the products. Enthusiasm and coachability matter more.
Nice to have:
graphic design/Canva, photography, email or SMS marketing, existing budtender relationships in CT, experience at a licensed cannabis establishment. The Compliance Part (Read This) Cannabis marketing in Connecticut is heavily regulated, and we take it seriously.
In this role you must:
Obtain a Connecticut Cannabis Employee registration through DCP — we sponsor and pay the fee, but you must pass the background disclosure process. Follow CT advertising law on every post: no content designed to appeal to anyone under 21, no cannabis plant or leaf imagery, no health or medical claims, audience-verification standards on all channels. Understand that everything you post for us gets reviewed. If you can't work inside guardrails, this isn't the job for you. If you can make great content because of the constraints — you're exactly who we want. What You Get $22-$30/hour depending on experience, paid weekly Mileage reimbursement for all statewide travel Content budget, equipment, and merch Employee discount on product Paid time off and holidays We pay for your CT cannabis employee registration and renewal Ground-floor role at a growing Connecticut brand — you'll have real creative ownership and your work will be visible on day one How to Apply Apply through Indeed or email or text 860-304-7923 with: Your resume Links to 3 pieces of content you made and starred in (TikTok, IG, YouTube — anything). Applications without content links won't be reviewed. Two sentences on why you'd be good in a dispensary talking to strangers all day. No cover letter needed. Show us the work.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
