We are dedicated to serving the fast-growing Affordable Housing Real Estate Industry, ensuring efficient transactions. Summary Our company is seeking an applicant with 1-2 years experience in Real Estate or Title Insurance for an Assistant Counsel position. The candidate must be admitted in New York. In this role, you will learn all aspects of the title insurance business and real estate closings with a concentration in complex affordable housing transactions, tax credit/bond financing and New York City Zoning Lot development rights and transfers. Responsibilities Review legal documents related to title insurance and real estate. Conduct thorough research on relevant laws and regulations affecting real estate transactions. Collaborate with clients to facilitate smooth closing transactions. Stay updated on changes in real estate law, particularly regarding affordable housing. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the state of New York. Good communication skills required to work with New York City and New York State Housing Finance Agencies as well as religious and not-for-profit entities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 1-2 years experience with Real Property transactions or in-house Title Insurance.
