Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Apartment Leasing Agent to join our property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your energetic approach will help showcase our properties' best features, build strong client relationships, and ensure a seamless leasing experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and a solid understanding of property management tools and legal regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while making a positive impact on prospective tenants' lives. Duties Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide detailed tours of available apartments, highlighting key features and benefits Manage lease or rental agreement processes accurately using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite Assist applicants with completing rental applications, verifying references, and conducting background checks in compliance with Fair Housing regulations Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other subsidized housing options Handle client communication via phone, email, and in person to answer questions, schedule appointments, and follow up on inquiries Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants while ensuring adherence to legal standards and company policies Prepare and file legal documents, contracts, and lease agreements efficiently within property management systems Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure property conditions meet tenant expectations and facilitate smooth move-ins Uphold conflict management principles when resolving tenant concerns or disputes professionally and diplomatically Support property marketing efforts through upselling available units and amenities to maximize occupancy rates Skills Proficiency in property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures Experience with Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and government-assisted housing processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across multiple channels Skilled negotiation abilities to close leases effectively while maintaining positive relationships Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, filing, reporting, and correspondence Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced office environment with strong organizational skills Conflict management expertise to handle tenant issues tactfully while protecting company interests Experience in real estate administrative functions including lease management, contracts, and client relationship management Knowledge of property maintenance coordination and facilities management principles is a plus Join us as an Apartment Leasing Agent where your energy fuels our success!
