Music & Arts is seeking a full-time Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service in our retail store. In this role, you'll guide students, parents, and educators in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons. You'll open and close the store, maintain merchandising standards, process transactions, and support school service outreach. You'll also mentor junior associates, meet sales goals, and uphold our student-focused, collaborative culture while promoting music education and community engagement. Responsibilities Provide consultative sales support to students, parents, and educators for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets and key performance metrics Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments accurately in the POS system Open and close the store, including cash handling and daily reconciliation Maintain visual merchandising standards, inventory organization, and product displays Support school service outreach and events that promote music education Resolve customer issues professionally to ensure a high level of satisfaction Mentor and support junior sales associates and help train new team members Promote private lessons, repair services, and financing or rental options Uphold Music & Arts' student-focused, collaborative, and inclusive culture Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling and reconciliation Product knowledge - musical instruments Inventory management Visual merchandising Upselling and cross-selling Lesson and rental program enrollment Communication skills
