Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering expert advice on plants, gardening supplies, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and floral design. Identify plants and horticultural products accurately to help customers make informed decisions. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties. Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory. Support store cleanliness by stocking shelves, organizing stockrooms, and maintaining outdoor work areas. Provide excellent customer service through phone communication and in-person interactions to answer questions about products or services. Assist with e-commerce orders and coordinate pick-up or delivery options for online customers when applicable. Experience Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in outdoor work environments such as gardening centers or hardware stores. Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, plant identification, floral design, and gardening techniques is highly desirable. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and merchandising will be advantageous. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage stock levels and maintain a tidy workspace. Outdoor work experience is preferred to comfortably handle physical tasks such as lifting plants or heavy supplies. Passion for customer service combined with excellent phone communication skills to assist clients both in-store and remotely.
