Racing Mart in Lancaster is looking for Part Time Nights and Weekends Store Associates who will be responsible for providing customers with a satisfying shopping experience, including fast and friendly service. Major responsibilities beyond customer satisfaction include completing register transactions, maintaining general appearance and store cleanliness in a fast paced environment while adhering to company policies. Specific Responsibilities Customer Satisfaction 1. Friendly, outgoing attitude with customers. 2. Projects a respectful, professional manner at all times including following company policies on Dress Code and personal hygiene. 3. Seeks advice from the Store Manager when limits of authority to resolve customer complaints are unclear. 4. Maintains a clean, well-stocked location as directed by management in their assigned duties. Compliance 1. Complies with company policies, federal and state laws regarding age-restricted sales of products such as tobacco and alcohol. 2. Follows Safe Food Handling Procedures in accordance with company, Board of Health and industry standards. 3. Adheres to all company policy and procedures. Notifies management of any policies that are unclear or not being followed by other employees. Location Operations 1. Maintain store cleanliness standards. 2. Replenishes stock at a level to maintain customer satisfaction. 3. Completes duties as assigned by management which may include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, etc. 4. Maintains safe conditions and follows procedures in times of inclement weather, damage to the property or unforeseen emergencies. 5. Reports to management any equipment or facility condition that is in need of repair or creates hazard. Loss Prevention and Safety 1. Strict compliance of cash handling procedures, shift accounting, fuel operations (if applicable), and inventory accountability. 2. Adheres to safety procedures and loss prevention policies designed to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers. Required Skills 1. Strong people skills. 2. Job Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach, bend, and lift. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
