​We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Floral Studio & Retail Assistant to support our day-to-day shop and studio operations. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who can work independently , manage their time effectively, and take initiative to keep the studio clean, organized, and running smoothly behind the scenes. ​You will play a vital role in processing fresh floral shipments, packing retail and subscription orders, maintaining prep workstations, and warmly assisting walk-in customers during open shop hours—including checking out customers using our Point of Sale (POS) system. This is a part-time role with the following hours:

Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays:

4-7PM Saturdays 10am-2pm ​Key Responsibilities ​ Retail Operations & Customer Service ​

Operate POS System:

Greet customers, process retail sales, scan or enter items, handle cash/card payments, and email or print customer receipts accurately using our POS system. ​

Independent Storefront Management:

Work independently during scheduled shifts, efficiently managing your time between assisting retail walk-ins, completing daily task lists, and maintaining store coverage. ​

Customer Support:

Answer basic customer questions regarding flower care, current stem availability, pre-order pickups, and shop offerings. ​ Floral Processing & Prep ​Unpack, strip, hydrate, and process incoming fresh-cut flowers, foliage, bulbs, and plugs using proper sanitation and conditioning protocols. ​Clean, fill, and maintain water buckets with appropriate floral nutrients. ​Prepare flower stems, vases, and materials for bouquet building and arrangement production. ​ Packing & Order Fulfillment ​Package retail bouquets, pre-orders, and subscription stems using specialized hydration packaging to ensure maximum freshness. ​Assemble, box, and tag orders accurately for in-store pickup, doorstep delivery routes, or workshop distribution. ​Maintain organized inventory and packing materials (wraps, care tags, ribbons, boxes, and hydration sleeves). ​ Studio & Retail Maintenance ​Perform daily studio cleaning duties, including washing/sanitizing buckets, sweeping, wiping down prep tables, emptying compost/trash, and organizing cool storage. ​Keep flower displays full, clean, tidy, and visually appealing throughout store hours. ​Assist with restocking supplies, vases, dried florals, and retail hard goods. ​Execute miscellaneous daily tasks and errands to keep the shop organized and efficient. ​Qualifications & Requirements ​

Self-Starter & Independent Worker:

Strong ability to work independently without direct supervision, take ownership of daily checklists, prioritize tasks efficiently, and problem-solve on the fly. ​

POS & Tech Familiarity:

Comfort with operating digital POS systems, tablet interface software, and payment processing terminals. ​

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 30-40 lbs of water buckets/boxes), and work with your hands in cooler environment conditions for extended periods. ​ Attention to

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 per week
