Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering duties. Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending additional items. Maintain a well-organized sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices. . Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism and courtesy. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained and assist in inventory management tasks. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Experience with retail sales techniques, including upselling and merchandising strategies. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer groups. Previous experience in a grocery store setting is preferred but not mandatory. Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to take on leadership roles within the team.
