Music & Arts is seeking a part-time Senior Sales Associate to support students, parents, and educators in our retail store. In this role, you'll lead by example on the sales floor-guiding customers to the right band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons. You'll open/close the store, handle POS transactions, and help train junior associates. You'll coordinate with school service reps, uphold visual and merchandising standards, and ensure a friendly, inclusive, and educational environment that reflects our mission of expanding access to quality music education. Responsibilities Deliver consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Provide expert, student-focused service to parents, students, and educators Open and close the store, including cash handling and POS operations Support, coach, and mentor junior sales associates Maintain merchandising, inventory, and visual standards on the sales floor Coordinate with school service representatives to support school music programs Resolve customer issues and ensure a friendly, inclusive environment Meet or exceed individual and store sales and performance goals Assist with in-store events and community engagement activities Uphold company policies, procedures, and loss-prevention standards Required Skills Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Customer relationship management Product knowledge - band and orchestra instruments Merchandising and inventory management Sales reporting and goal tracking Conflict resolution Basic computer skills Team leadership and training
