Job Description

The Store Team Member supports the daily operations of the Shelton Habitat Store. This role is essential to creating a welcoming shopping experience, maintaining a safe and organized sales floor, and ensuring that donated items are processed efficiently. The Store Team Member works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to advance Habitat for Humanity's mission of building homes, communities, and hope
Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Operate the cash register/POS system accurately. Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, and store policies. Donations & Merchandising Receive, process, and price donated items. Assist donors with unloading donations in a courteous and safe manner. Organize and stock sales floor, ensuring merchandise is clean, safe, and attractively displayed. Store Operations Maintain a clean and safe store environment, including sales floor, donation areas, and restrooms. Follow safety protocols for lifting, moving, and handling merchandise. Assist with store opening and closing procedures as assigned. Teamwork & Mission Support Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers to achieve store goals. Represent Habitat for Humanity's mission and values in interactions with customers, donors, and the community. Perform other duties as needed to support the success of the store.
Qualifications:
Previous retail, customer service, or warehouse experience helpful but not required. Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving furniture/appliances. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work the Tuesday - Saturday Schedule Commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment Retail store setting with frequent lifting and physical activity. Interaction with customers, donors, staff, and volunteers. Must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

From $17.13 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 per week
