This is NOT just a desk or management position. This is a hands-on role combining shop management, job preparation, inventory organization, and occasional field support.
Responsibilities include:
Review upcoming jobs and prepare/stage materials in advance Stage equipment, parts, fittings, tools, and job-specific materials Load and unload equipment and materials Keep the shop, warehouse, tools, and inventory clean and organized Receive and verify deliveries Make sure crews have everything needed before leaving for a job Monitor inventory and communicate what needs to be ordered or restocked Label and organize materials by job Coordinate with the office and field crews regarding upcoming projects Help prevent job delays and unnecessary supply-house trips Perform site visits when needed to verify job requirements, materials, measurements, or job progress Be willing to assist technicians/installers in the field when additional help is needed
Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Must be comfortable with physical work, loading, staging, and organizing materials Strong organizational and time-management skills Dependable and able to work independently Must take initiative and stay ahead of the job schedule Valid driver's license HVAC, construction, warehouse, or parts experience preferred HVAC equipment and material knowledge is a major plus The primary responsibility is managing the shop and preparing jobs , but applicants must understand that this is a team position and may require going to job sites or helping in the field when necessary.
