POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Rental Department Manager to lead our rental operations and drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and supervise the rental team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service Oversee daily rental department operations including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and customer transactions Manage inventory control, including stock levels, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize rental availability and profitability Handle cash management, cashiering, and POS system operations Maintain rental equipment inventory and ensure all items are safe, clean, and in working condition Develop and implement pricing strategies and rental policies Recruit, interview, and onboard new staff members Conduct employee training and development sessions to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and operational procedures Implement marketing strategies to promote rental services and increase customer engagement Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage across all shifts Maintain accurate budgeting and operational reports to ensure financial health of the department Build and maintain customer relationships to ensure repeat business Address customer concerns and resolve disputes professionally

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proven management experience in retail or rental environments with supervising responsibilities 3+ years of experience in rental, retail, or customer service management Strong knowledge of retail sales management, inventory management, and POS systems Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively Strong customer service and communication skills Demonstrated skills in negotiation and employee management Ability to work a flexible, open schedule including weekends and holidays as needed Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and inventory management Ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple priorities Excellent organizational and time management skills Proficiency in basic math for cash handling, pricing calculations, and inventory control Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and move heavy equipment Reliable transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with equipment rental operations Knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety procedures Experience with recruiting and training programs in retail settings Bilingual or multilingual capabilities Familiarity with grocery store or wireless sales experience Experience with comprehensive training and development programs

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a flexible and open schedule including varying hours across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as business demands require. Availability during peak rental seasons is essential.

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
