Position Summary/Description:
This position provides full award life cycle administrative management for grants activity associated with research in the Department of Health Behavior. This position serves as one of the Department's two contacts for a variety of granting agencies. Both grant managers are assigned a split of the current faculty research portfolios within the department. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. Work performed by the Grants Managers requires a thorough understanding of the types of proposals and mechanisms used by various agencies as well as the terms and conditions of each request for proposal. This knowledge is necessary to interpret rules, regulations, and procedures as well as to plan and direct contracts and grants administration for the department of Health Behavior.
Education and Experience:
The department prefers candidates with 1-3 years in a pre-award role or position with NIH submission experience
Essential Skills:
Experience with grant applications and preparation of various budget types. The incumbent must possess superior problem solving, decision making, communication and customer service skills.
