Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our operations within the retail and petroleum industries. The ideal candidate will oversee daily business activities, manage sales teams, coordinate purchasing, and ensure smooth communication across departments. This leadership role requires a strong background in retail management, petroleum industry experience, and supervisory skills to drive growth and operational excellence. Duties Provide overall managerial leadership to ensure the achievement of business goals and operational efficiency. Oversee daily store operations, including managing POS systems to ensure accurate sales processing and inventory control. Lead, motivate, and supervise retail sales teams to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer service. Develop and implement strategic plans for sales growth, customer engagement, and operational improvements. Manage purchasing activities to optimize inventory levels, control costs, and ensure the availability of products aligned with business needs. Maintain effective managerial communication across all departments to facilitate collaboration and resolve issues promptly. Supervise staff performance, conduct evaluations, and foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development. Apply petroleum industry knowledge to oversee relevant operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and prepare reports for senior management to inform decision-making. Skills Proven experience in retail industry sales team management with strong supervisory capabilities. Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments. Proficiency in POS systems for sales processing and inventory management. Strong background in purchasing processes with an ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships. Supervisory experience with a focus on team development and performance management. Petroleum industry experience is highly desirable for understanding industry-specific operations and safety protocols. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams, solve problems efficiently, and adapt to changing business needs.
