Garrison, ND Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Produce Manager to oversee the daily operations of the produce department. The Produce Manager is responsible for maintaining fresh, high-quality products, delivering exceptional customer service, managing inventory levels, ensuring department profitability, and leading a team of associates. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage all daily operations of the produce department. Order, receive, stock, and rotate fresh produce to ensure product quality and freshness. Monitor inventory levels and minimize shrink through proper handling and merchandising practices. Create attractive displays that drive sales and enhance the shopping experience. Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards. Supervise, train, schedule, and develop produce department employees. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and resolving concerns. Monitor department sales, margins, and labor costs to meet financial goals. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health department requirements. Operate department equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members. Coordinate seasonal promotions and merchandising initiatives. Qualifications Previous produce, grocery, or retail management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling, rotation, and merchandising. Leadership and team development experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving products up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions. Comfortable working in coolers and refrigerated environments.
