B Empathy Full Job Description Compensation:

$80,000

•150,000+ depending on performance Full-Time | Base + Performance Incentives We are a growing multi-location dental organization seeking an experienced consultative sales professional / closer to help patients confidently move forward with significant elective and restorative treatment. Dental experience is NOT required. In fact, we are specifically interested in candidates who have developed strong sales skills in another industry and know how to conduct a professional, high-value sales conversation. We can teach you dentistry. We are looking for someone who already knows how to sell. Who We Want You may be a strong fit if you have experience with: High-ticket consultative sales Closing $5,000

•50,000+ purchases or commitments Discovery-based selling Objection handling Financing/payment conversations Follow-up and pipeline management Building urgency without creating pressure Asking difficult financial questions professionally Helping an interested prospect actually make a decision We are especially interested in candidates familiar with sales methodologies such as: Chris Voss-style tactical empathy and calibrated questions Gap Selling Sandler Challenger Sale NEPQ Closing Institute or similar structured closing systems Consultative / needs-based selling You do not need to follow one particular sales methodology. We care about results, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and your ability to guide a complicated buying decision. What You Will Do Patients who meet with you are generally already interested in treatment. Your role is to take that interest and conduct a structured consultation that helps the patient understand: What problem they are trying to solve Why it matters to them What may be preventing them from moving forward Treatment options recommended by the doctor Costs and financing options The consequences of delaying treatment What they need in order to confidently make a decision You will work closely with our doctors and clinical team, but your primary responsibility is the patient decision-making and case-acceptance process.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting treatment and financial consultations Asking strong discovery questions Identifying the patient's true motivation and concerns Presenting treatment fees clearly and confidently Discussing monthly payment and financing options Handling objections without becoming defensive or discounting prematurely Following up with patients who have not yet made a decision Maintaining an organized pipeline Tracking case acceptance and follow-up activity Working with doctors and management to continuously improve the consultation process This Is NOT a Traditional Front Desk Position We are not looking for someone whose primary strength is answering phones, scheduling hygiene appointments, verifying insurance, or performing administrative dental duties. Those skills are welcome, but they are not why we are hiring you. We are hiring someone who can sit across from a patient considering a substantial investment, build trust quickly, uncover what actually matters to that person, navigate financial objections, and confidently ask for a decision. The Right Candidate You are likely to thrive here if: You are comfortable discussing money You don't become uncomfortable when someone says, "That's too expensive" You know the difference between an objection and the real objection You listen more than you talk You ask excellent follow-up questions You understand that persuasion is not pressure You can maintain rapport while challenging someone's assumptions You know when to push forward and when to back off You do not immediately offer discounts to rescue a sale You take ownership of your pipeline You enjoy being measured by results Experience We Value Strong candidates may come from industries such as: Home improvement / remodeling Roofing, windows, solar, or HVAC sales Automotive sales or finance Medical aesthetics / plastic surgery LASIK or elective healthcare Legal intake Financial services Luxury retail Real estate High-ticket fitness or coaching B2B sales SaaS Hospitality or membership sales Dental knowledge can be taught. Strong closing instincts, communication skills, discipline, and emotional intelligence are much harder to teach. Compensation This position includes a competitive base salary plus a meaningful performance-based incentive structure. Top performers should have the opportunity to earn significantly more than someone simply performing administrative duties. Compensation will depend on experience, demonstrated sales ability, and results. To Apply Please send your resume along with a short response to the following: Tell us about the most difficult sale you routinely had to close. What was the typical dollar amount, what objections did you encounter, and how did you approach them? Generic responses will stand out less than candidates who can clearly explain how they think during a sales conversation. We are looking for a professional closer—not a high-pressure salesperson—and someone who understands that the best sales conversations leave the customer feeling understood, respected, and confident in their decision.
