THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking someone to take on the Boutique Assistant Manager leadership role in our Bridal Boutique. You must have experience in and love meeting sales goals, appointment planning, sales planning, floor execution, communication/conflict resolution, and organizing/maintaining systems and processes across the company. This is a key leadership role within the company, working alongside and supporting the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a sales floor, developing and executing plans to increase sales and achieve sales goals, leading and coaching a team, planning appointment flow, communicating effectively, resolving conflicts, and organizing and maintaining systems and processes in a small, fast-paced business. We are looking for an Assistant Manager and leader who is Thrives in the complexity of a luxury bridal boutique and enjoys balancing sales, people, and day-to-day operations. Is highly motivated by results and business goals Embraces challenges and approaches problems with a positive, solutions-focused mindset. The Bridal Room offers an intimate and private bridal shopping experience for brides and their bridal parties in a private suite and beautiful environment. Our ultimate goal is to provide a curated selection of gowns with unforgettable shopping experience. We ensure every bride is paired with an experienced bridal consultant that will take the time to hand select gowns before the appointment and help her to navigate through the process of selecting her wedding gown. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Floor Management Drive sales performance by tracking metrics like revenue-to-goal, closing ratios, average ticket size, and accessory attachment, using these insights to provide actionable coaching to the team. Act as a sales leader on the floor, coaching and serving as a role model for Stylists through active sales floor management. Provide designer & alteration knowledge, role-play, appointment observation, feedback, and ongoing coaching. Provide each Stylist with regular, day-to-day coaching and share timely, specific performance observations with the Operations Manager to support formal monthly one-on-one meetings and ongoing performance management. Proactively resolve client concerns by utilizing available company and designer resources to find effective solutions. Manage and assist with pre-calls, stylist introduction, client preparation and appointment assignment along with lead stylists to understand clients needs. Fostering an environment that is client centered by planning and managing and preparing the appointment in advance. Responsible for monthly and weekly planning to prepare for upcoming VIP appointments to ensure stylists are fully prepared. Product Expert & Administrative Duties Provide designer & alteration knowledge, role-play, appointment observation, feedback, and ongoing coaching. Monitor floor inventory readiness, provide sales insight, and flag exceptions to the Operations Manager to ensure sales racks are replenished and refreshed, while providing feedback to support the buying process. Keep track of buying trends by reviewing weekly and monthly sales reports to create sale promotions and staff incentives to increase sales. Stay up to date on designer product information, including customization, sizing, shipping updates, and promotions, to support routine operational follow-through. Plan and execute designer Trunk Shows and Events to promote collections to increase sales. Be a self-starter to learn new designers, customizations, and pricing structures. Collaborate with Social Media Manager to promote Trunk Shows, weekends incentives, and new gown arrivals. Update the weekly sales dashboard, communicate individual sales goals to each stylist, and use performance results to guide weekly sales planning and day-to-day coaching. Ensuring all client communication is responded to in a timely manner as per company standards. Perform quality oversight by reviewing bridal orders post-sale to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the Operations Manager People Management & Leadership Provide regular and constructive feedback to bridal consultants to support their ongoing professional development and improvement of closing ratios. Partner with the Operations Manager and Lead Stylist to manage, coach, and develop stylist to support them in reaching their full potential and maintaining top performance levels. Monitor employee performance and partner with the Operations Manager to determine action plans and performance management strategies. Assist the Operation Manager with interviews, onboarding of new hires, 90 days & annual reviews. Develop a training plan for all new hires using training videos, checklists, and all available resources. Maintain team cohesion and a positive working environment.
Qualifications & Must-Have Skills Advanced People Management:
A strong background in performance management is essential. You must be able to set clear expectations, coach for results, and handle conflict resolution with professional maturity.
Client Relation & Service Recovery:
Proven ability to expertly handle client escalations and high-risk situations, turning challenging situations into service recovery opportunities.
Leadership & Accountability:
Demonstrated judgment in coaching and documenting team performance; while this role supports performance management, formal disciplinary and termination decisions are managed by senior leadership.
Organization and Multitasking :
Demonstrate organization skills and the ability to handle tasks and projects while meeting deadlines. Fashion or luxury-retail experience is required; prior experience in the bridal industry is preferred but not required.
