Job Description

## Standard Job Description You will be the U-2 Mechanic Field Service Representative - Level 3 for the U-2 Program at Beale Air Force Base which is responsible for sustaining the iconic high altitude reconnaissance aircraft.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the U-2 Mechanic Field Service Representative - Level 3 you will be the on site liaison delivering hands on support, mentorship, and problem solving for the fleet.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft systems, hydraulics, fuel, propulsion, flight and environmental controls.
  • Mentor Air Force maintainers and deliver on the job training for U 2 mechanical and systems procedures.
  • Execute hands on tasks on the flight line and phase dock, documenting work per technical data.
  • Coordinate with Air Force personnel on safety, compliance, and mission essential activities, including deployment preparation.
  • Support U 2 flight line and phase maintenance operations as the trusted technical advisor. ## Basic Qualifications
  • Five years minimum experience in Flight line and A/C mechanical systems
  • Flight line experience
  • Mechanical systems experience/troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blue prints
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite/email literate
  • Proactive, clear communication skills ## Desired Skills
  • U-2 Flight line experience
  • U-2 mechanical systems experience
  • U-2 Repair & Reclamation skills
  • Power Plant
  • Strong Structural experience
  • Air Force Forms 781 documentation, Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) knowledge
  • Air Force (AF) Quality Assurance experience
  • AF Supply system knowledge
  • Good team working skills; ability to work with and build strong teams
  • Sound written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelors and above degree
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
