Department OverviewThis opening is in Motorola Solutions' Global Enterprise Strategic Accounts Presale Engineering group, and is focused on customers across Utility/Rail, Energy (Oil & Gas), and strategic Corporate and Retail Account customer verticals.

Job Description The Presale Solutions Engineer partners closely with customers and the Sales team, delivering customer driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of Global Enterprise Strategic Accounts customers. Working within a team of sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources, the Presale Solutions Engineer is the overall owner of a solution's technical design, ensuring we meet our customers' needs. The engineering team supports the entire ecosystem and concentrates on the following mission-critical technologies at various levels of complexity: Critical communications mobile broadband networks and devices Critical communications mobile voice and data networks and devices Integrated command and control software solutions Mobile and fixed video solutions Business continuityesiliency and mass notification applications

Cybersecurity Responsibilities:

Gathering technical and voice of customer requirements Solution design development for infrastructure, devices, backhaul, network and applications Deployment, implementation, migration and/or cutover planning Design, develop, maintain and manage portable Ecosystem demonstration kits tailored to Global Enterprise Strategic Accounts verticals Partner with Sales to deliver customer presentations, demonstrations and pilots Participate in Sales strategy, system integration and competitive intelligence engagement Engage with global Product organizations to promote business development and provide Sales and customer support

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering Experience with wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures

•both public and private (e.g.

APCO P25, DMR, TETRA, LTE, 802.11, 3GPP

4G/5G, FirstNet/Frontline)

•highly desirable Experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.), IP networking architecture, protocols and security

•highly desirable Knowledge of RF coverage predictions, microwave design, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets an asset Familiarity with both fixed and mobile video solutions Must show attention to detail and have a awless execution mindset

Location/Travel:

Must be willing to travel 50%

•75% of the time Must be located nearby a major airport

Target Base Salary Range:

$90,000
