RESPONSIBILITIES
Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents Reading and understanding customer requirements provided by SA and sales team Concept design of data center architecture and equipment Understanding of relevant architectural and structural codes and standards CAD Modeling Understanding passive fire protection design and requirements Coordination with other technical disciplines (HVAC, electrical, controls, fire protection) Dimensioning and specification of structural and architectural parts of the modular building Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers Communication with customers in order to propose the best solution Making technical proposals for Vertiv modular solutions data centers Providing design documents Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions Support SA and sales team Solution-based thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Structural and Mechanical components to an end-customer deployment
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Structural Engineering Minimum 3 years of design experience Proficient in structural and mechanical system design including end user interface applications Strong CAD capabilities including the ability to represent site, structural and system layouts, as well as custom designs and associated pre-fabricated data center infrastructure systems Solution-based thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Mechanical and Electrical components to an end-customer deployment Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to deployment PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD Key skills are- CAD 2D design experience is a must. Revit or any 3D modelling software is a preference. Experience in civil/construction/architecture (traditional or modular) is preferred.
