  • Specific Territory to Be Assigned Upon Hire National Water Services, LLC (NWS) is seeking an experienced, motivated Project Manager / Sales Engineer / Account Manager to join our growing Ohio team.
This position will support NWS's continued growth throughout Ohio, with the candidate's specific geographic territory and account responsibilities to be assigned upon hire based on experience, existing customer relationships, company needs, and market opportunities. This is a unique position combining technical sales, customer relationship management, estimating, and project management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing relationships with municipalities, utilities, engineering firms, industrial customers, and contractors while also possessing the technical and construction knowledge necessary to take projects from the initial opportunity through estimating, contract award, construction, and final completion. This is not strictly a sales position and it is not strictly a project management position. We are looking for someone who can find opportunities, understand the customer's needs, develop practical solutions, help secure the work, and successfully manage the project once awarded.
ABOUT NATIONAL WATER SERVICES
National Water Services is a growing water, wastewater, drilling, pumping, and infrastructure contractor serving municipal, industrial, utility, and engineering clients throughout multiple states. Our work includes water well drilling and rehabilitation, pumping systems, vertical turbine and submersible pumps, wastewater systems, pipelines, intake structures, booster stations, mechanical installations, civil construction, and general utility infrastructure. NWS combines field construction experience with technical expertise to assist customers and engineering firms from initial planning and investigation through final construction and long-term service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager / Sales Engineer / Account Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships within an assigned Ohio territory while helping manage projects from initial opportunity through completion. Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, utilities, engineering firms, industrial facilities, contractors, and other customers throughout the assigned Ohio territory. Identify new project opportunities and actively develop new accounts. Maintain relationships with existing NWS customers and generate repeat business. Meet with customers and engineers to understand project needs, operational problems, schedules, budgets, and technical requirements. Assist customers and engineers in developing practical solutions for water, wastewater, pumping, well, and infrastructure projects. Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and technical requirements. Perform site visits and field evaluations to assist in determining project scope. Develop project scopes, budgets, estimates, proposals, and quotations. Coordinate with NWS estimators, operations personnel, superintendents, vendors, manufacturers, and management. Participate in pre-bid meetings, project meetings, customer meetings, and technical discussions. Assist with pump and equipment selection and coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers when required. Prepare and maintain project schedules and budgets. Monitor labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs. Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project requirements with operations. Communicate project expectations and schedules to field supervision. Track project progress and proactively address schedule, cost, quality, and constructability issues. Prepare and manage change orders and additional work. Assist with project invoicing, progress billing, cost forecasting, and project closeout. Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the project. Follow up after project completion and continue developing the customer relationship. Represent National Water Services professionally throughout Ohio. Work with management to develop strategic accounts and expand NWS's presence within the Ohio market.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who understands that successful technical sales is built around relationships, responsiveness, technical knowledge, and solving problems for customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Water and wastewater construction Municipal utilities Water well drilling and rehabilitation Pumps and pumping systems Vertical turbine and submersible pumps Mechanical or process equipment Pipeline and utility construction Civil construction Industrial or municipal infrastructure Construction project management Technical or industrial sales Existing relationships within the Ohio municipal, engineering, industrial, water, or wastewater markets are a strong plus. Candidates with strong field or construction backgrounds who have developed customer-facing and project-management skills are encouraged to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in project management, technical sales, account management, estimating, construction management, or a related field. Strong understanding of construction terminology, project scheduling, estimating, and cost management. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, municipal officials, plant personnel, contractors, vendors, and field employees. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and customer relationships simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other standard business software. Valid driver's license. Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Ohio and occasionally outside the assigned territory as project needs require. Ability to work independently while remaining closely coordinated with NWS operations and company management. A college degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field is beneficial but is not necessarily required. Relevant industry knowledge, technical training, field experience, sales experience, and demonstrated ability to successfully manage customers and projects will be strongly considered.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Compensation structure may include base salary and performance-based incentives depending on the candidate's experience and responsibilities. Benefits and additional employment details will be discussed during the interview process.
