Non-Exempt Position Summary The Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives by maximizing sales within an assigned customer base and actively pursuing new business opportunities. The Associate will build and strengthen customer relationships by gaining a thorough understanding of each customer's business goals and proactively identifying opportunities to drive growth. This includes recommending promotions, introducing new brands and products, expanding existing business, and identifying additional sales opportunities that support both customer and client objectives. Essential Job Functions Maintain a comprehensive call schedule to ensure all customers are contacted continually. Frequency of calls will be determined by volume or customer request. Assist salons in expanding their service menus and generating incremental sales by introducing new products and brand options. Proactively identify and pursue new account opportunities through direct mail, email, telephone outreach, referrals, online research, social media, and other prospecting resources. Continuously explore new strategies, tools, and resources to expand the customer base and drive sales growth. Support client promotions, special events, and initiatives as required Keep up to date on the knowledge and usage instructions for all brands represented to serve as customers' go-to source. Stay informed of industry trends and events by subscribing to related websites, reading trade magazines, and following social media. Attend and participate in team trainings and research various related subjects online, when necessary, to maintain knowledge and usage instructions of brands. Monitor customer backing orders to avoid lost sales and customer complaints. Provide coverage and support for team members during absences and other periods of limited availability, assisting customers as needed to ensure continuity of service. Knowledge & Skills High school diploma required; 2-3 years of experience in retail or sales management is essential. Professional beauty industry experience strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate professionalism across all communication platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, along with a working knowledge of social media and a willingness to maintain a personal professional presence online. Highly organized and self-driven, with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, fluid environment. Must be able to manage time independently, handle difficult customer situations with professionalism, and think both strategically and creatively to solve challenges.
