World Tile is seeking an experienced, motivated, and knowledgeable Tile & Design Showroom Sales Consultant to join our team. We are looking for more than someone who can simply sell tile. We want a professional who understands the products, recognizes quality, enjoys working with people, and can help customers confidently select the right materials for their projects. Our showroom serves homeowners, interior designers, contractors, builders, and renovation professionals. The ideal candidate combines product expertise, design knowledge, strong sales skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Assist customers with selecting porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, mosaics, and decorative tile. Provide design guidance for bathrooms, kitchens, backsplashes, flooring, showers, fireplaces, and indoor/outdoor living spaces. Understand different tile sizes, finishes, applications, installation requirements, and material limitations. Educate customers on installation products, including waterproofing membranes, uncoupling systems, electric floor warming, and shower systems. Demonstrate familiarity with Schluter products , including KERDI, DITRA, DITRA-HEAT, shower systems, profiles, and related installation materials. Prepare accurate estimates, quotations, material takeoffs, and customer orders. Follow up consistently on open quotations, pending orders, leads, and prospective sales. Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, contractors, designers, and repeat customers. Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse personnel, and management to ensure orders are handled accurately. Stay informed about new products, design trends, and advancements in tile installation systems. Meet individual sales expectations while contributing to overall showroom growth. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with actual industry knowledge and sales experience. Previous sales experience in a tile showroom, flooring showroom, building materials business, or closely related field. Solid understanding of porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, and tile applications. Working knowledge of tile installation materials, setting products, waterproofing, and underlayment systems. Familiarity with Schluter Systems is highly desirable. Ability to read basic measurements and calculate tile quantities, square footage, and material requirements. Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and follow-up skills. An eye for design, color coordination, and material selection. Comfortable managing multiple customers, quotations, and projects simultaneously. Computer proficiency and experience using sales or order-entry software.
