+ Performance Bonuses We are looking for a highly motivated, persistent, and results-driven Hotel Sales Representative to grow our weekly, extended-stay, construction crew, and corporate lodging business. This is not a front desk position . Your primary responsibility is to find new business, contact decision-makers, build relationships, follow up consistently, negotiate within approved pricing guidelines, and close new hotel accounts. Our primary sales focus is filling rooms with weekly and long-term guests , including construction workers, contractors, traveling crews, project employees, staffing companies, medical workers, and businesses needing temporary housing in Amarillo. Our standard extended-stay rate starts at approximately $350 + tax per week per room , depending on availability and approved rate programs. Compensation & Earning Potential This position is intentionally structured with a lower guaranteed hourly base and strong performance-based earning potential .

Base Pay:

$9.00/hour In addition to hourly pay, you can earn uncapped commissions and sales bonuses based on the new business and collected room revenue you generate. Commission Structure Commission is calculated on qualified new collected room revenue : First $10,000/month: 5% commission $10,001-$20,000/month: 7.5% commission on that portion Above $20,000/month: 10% commission on that portion Commission tiers are progressive. For example, a salesperson generating approximately: $10,000/month in new revenue could earn approximately $500 in commission , in addition to base pay. $20,000/month could generate approximately $1,250 in commission . $30,000/month could generate approximately $2,250 in commission . There is no fixed commission cap for high-performing salespeople. The more profitable new business you generate, the more you can earn. New Account Bonus Earn an additional $50 bonus when a qualifying new company account reaches its first $1,000 in collected room revenue . Commission and bonuses are based on qualifying collected revenue and are subject to company sales and commission policies. Main Sales Objective Your primary goal is to: Fill hotel rooms with weekly and extended-stay guests and develop recurring business relationships with companies that regularly need lodging. We are particularly interested in salespeople who can find multi-room crew accounts rather than relying only on individual travelers.

Construction companies and subcontractors Roofing companies Road and highway crews Utility and infrastructure contractors Oil, gas, and energy workers Traveling technicians Staffing agencies Medical professionals and traveling healthcare workers Corporate project teams Transportation companies Insurance and temporary-displacement stays Companies relocating employees Other businesses with workers temporarily assigned to Amarillo Responsibilities You will be responsible for the complete sales process, including: Researching and identifying new companies and projects in the Amarillo area Generating your own sales leads Cold calling prospective businesses Sending professional sales emails Visiting local businesses and job sites when appropriate Identifying the person responsible for employee lodging Speaking with owners, project managers, supervisors, HR personnel, office managers, and travel coordinators Promoting weekly and extended-stay hotel accommodations Explaining the benefits of hotel lodging compared with short-term apartments and nightly hotel rates Preparing lodging quotes Negotiating rates within management-approved limits Following up consistently with potential clients Closing new accounts Increasing the number of rooms used by existing sales-generated accounts Maintaining relationships with new customers Tracking leads, contacts, quotes, follow-ups, closed accounts, room nights, and revenue Providing management with regular sales activity and revenue reports Weekly Performance Expectations Successful sales representatives will be expected to consistently build new business.

Typical weekly targets may include:

50 new prospects researched 30 meaningful outbound contacts 15 conversations with decision-makers 5 qualified extended-stay or crew opportunities 3 or more rate proposals/quotes Consistent follow-up on all active opportunities Target of approximately 5 new weekly rooms sold per week Sales targets may be adjusted based on season, occupancy, market conditions, and performance. Monthly Sales Goals Our primary goal is to build a large base of recurring weekly-room business. Performance may generally be evaluated as: 12 new weekly rooms/month: Minimum developing target 20 new weekly rooms/month: Target performance 28+ new weekly rooms/month: Strong performance 40+ new weekly rooms/month: Exceptional performance Management will evaluate both: New weekly rooms sold and Total collected revenue generated by sales accounts. Repeat Business & Commission We want salespeople to develop accounts that continue using the hotel. When you personally acquire an approved new account, qualifying repeat room revenue from that account may continue to generate commission during the account's approved acquisition period. This means you are rewarded not only for bringing in the first reservation, but also for developing new accounts into recurring hotel business . After the applicable commission period, established accounts may transition into regular hotel house accounts according to company policy. Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Enjoys sales and closing deals Is comfortable with cold calling Is persistent with follow-up Does not give up after one unanswered call or email Can confidently speak with business owners and managers Knows how to ask for the sale Can negotiate without unnecessarily reducing rates Is motivated by commission and performance-based compensation Is organized and able to manage a sales pipeline Can work independently Has excellent communication skills Can build long-term business relationships Understands that actual revenue—not simply making calls—is the ultimate measure of success Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is helpful: Hotel sales Extended-stay sales Corporate lodging B2B sales Outside sales Business development Construction-industry sales Staffing sales Apartment leasing Account management Lead generation Cold calling Commission-based sales Hotel experience is not required if you have a proven ability to generate leads, follow up, negotiate, and close new business. What Success Looks Like A successful salesperson should be able to say: "I found the company, reached the decision-maker, presented our weekly lodging option, followed up, closed the account, and those rooms are now generating recurring revenue for the hotel." We are looking for someone who wants more than just an hourly paycheck. If you generate business and help the hotel grow, you should have the opportunity to grow your own paycheck at the same time.
