The role Statewide Equipment sells, rents, and services heavy equipment across Southern Utah and Nevada. We carry LiuGong, Kioti, and Deutz-Fahr, and we sell to contractors, ranchers, municipalities, and pit operators and more. We are hiring an outside sales representative to own that territory. This is a hunter seat. The phone does ring, and we will hand you leads, but the reps who do well here are the ones who spend their week in the truck — on job sites, at pits, in shop yards — finding work before it goes out to bid. You are paid a real base so you can build a pipeline without starving, and uncapped commission on gross profit so the ceiling is yours. You report directly to the General Manager. What you'll own Prospecting — Identify, contact, and develop new customers through calls, emails, site visits, and industry networking. This is the majority of the job in your first six months. Qualification — Assess application requirements, budget, timeline, and decision authority before you invest time in a deal. Know who's real and who's shopping. Product consultation — Learn our OEM lines cold: specs, competitive positioning, and application fit. Contractors buy from the person who can tell them which machine is right, not the person with the glossiest brochure. Quoting — Build accurate, professional quotes at approved pricing in Blackpurl. Walk the customer through the number so there are no surprises at signing. Negotiation and closing — Negotiate inside authorized pricing and deal structure. Every deal, every trade allowance, every term gets General Manager approval before you commit to a customer. No side deals, no verbal arrangements. Delivery and follow-through — Coordinate delivery, confirm PDI is complete, check in after the machine is working, and hand off cleanly to Service. Pipeline discipline — Keep the CRM current. Every opportunity, every stage change, every contact logged by end of business each day. If it isn't in the CRM, it didn't happen. Quarterly targets — Hit or beat the revenue targets set by the General Manager. Consistently turn activity into closed, funded, delivered deals. Market intelligence — Watch competitor pricing, customer trends, and what's breaking ground in the corridor. Bring it back so we buy the right inventory. Cross-department coordination — Work with Parts and Service to find attachment, service contract, and rental conversion opportunities. What we expect You are in front of customers, not at a desk. Windshield time is the job. Your pipeline is accurate. We would rather see a thin honest forecast than a padded one. You quote what's approved and you get GM sign-off before you commit. Every time. You know your numbers — units, gross profit, where you stand against target — without being asked. Bad news travels fast. A deal falling apart is something the GM hears from you first. You represent the dealership on the customer's site. How you show up is how we get judged. What you need Required 2+ years of outside, B2B, or capital equipment sales with a track record you can document Demonstrated success prospecting and closing new accounts, not just servicing an existing book Comfort with CRM discipline and daily activity logging Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record Willingness to be on the road in the territory most of the week, based out of Parowan Ability to read a spec sheet and hold a technical conversation with an operator or owner Preferred Heavy equipment, construction, agricultural, or truck dealership sales experience Working knowledge of construction, excavation, aggregate, or agricultural operations Experience with equipment financing, floor plan, or lease structures Familiarity with dealership management systems (we run Blackpurl) and CRM (we run Copper) Established relationships with contractors, ranchers, or municipalities in Southern Utah What we provide Base salary plus uncapped quarterly commission on gross profit, with an annual accelerator for top production Company truck or vehicle allowance Company phone and laptop Factory and OEM product training on the lines we carry Direct access to the General Manager and ownership — decisions get made same-day, not routed through four layers Essential functions Regular travel throughout the territory with a valid driver's license. Walking active job sites, pits, and equipment yards on uneven ground and in seasonal weather. Climbing on and demonstrating equipment. Communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person. Working on a computer to build quotes and maintain CRM records. Schedule Monday-Friday, full-time, based out of Parowan, Utah, with territory travel. Occasional early mornings and after-hours calls — contractors work when contractors work.
