Duties Engage with customers both inside the store and through outside sales efforts to identify their flooring needs and recommend suitable solutions. Conduct product demonstrations, layout design consultations, and lighting or remodeling advice to help clients visualize their projects. Utilize CAD or SketchUp software to create accurate floor plans and design layouts that meet client specifications. Upsell additional products such as lighting fixtures, remodeling accessories, or maintenance services to maximize sales opportunities. Build strong customer relationships through personalized service, effective communication, and follow-up to ensure satisfaction. Manage POS systems for cash handling, order processing, and inventory tracking while maintaining accurate records. Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies, stocking, and inventory management to ensure a well-organized showroom. Requirements Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or construction-related sales with a focus on high-end products. Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD software, Microsoft Office suite, and CRM systems for client management and layout design. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction. Knowledge of renovation processes, remodeling projects, construction materials, and maintenance practices. Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly explain technical details and design options. Organizational skills to manage multiple clients simultaneously while ensuring timely follow-up. Basic math skills for measurements, pricing calculations, and retail math accuracy.
