Groundly Property Services LLC

Field Lead Generator Landscaping & Property Services

Entry-Level JobVerifiedNo experience needed

Job Description

Field Lead Generator - Landscaping & Property Services (1099) Groundly Property Services LLC is looking for an outgoing, motivated, and dependable Field Lead Generator to help us grow our residential customer base throughout Springfield and surrounding Southern Vermont communities. This is a field-based, independent contractor (1099), performance-based opportunity focused primarily on generating qualified leads through neighborhood canvassing and door-to-door outreach.
THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL DOOR-TO-DOOR SALES POSITION.
You are not expected to estimate landscaping projects, negotiate pricing, or close complicated jobs at the door.
Your job is much simpler:
Start conversations. Introduce Groundly. Identify homeowners who may need our services. Generate qualified leads. Let Groundly handle the estimating and closing process. If you are comfortable talking with people, don't mind approaching homeowners, and are motivated by performance-based earnings, this could be a great opportunity.
ABOUT GROUNDLY
Groundly Property Services LLC is a growing landscaping and property-maintenance company serving Springfield and surrounding Southern Vermont communities. Our services include recurring lawn maintenance, landscaping, property cleanups, brush and vegetation management, seasonal services, and other exterior property-maintenance work. We are focused on building long-term customer relationships and expanding our recurring customer base.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your primary responsibility is generating qualified opportunities for Groundly.
Typical responsibilities include:
Canvassing residential neighborhoods within Groundly's service area. Approaching homeowners and professionally introducing Groundly Property Services. Starting short, friendly conversations about their lawn, landscaping, or property-maintenance needs. Identifying homeowners who are interested in receiving an estimate. Collecting accurate customer information. Recording the service or project the homeowner is interested in. Submitting qualified leads to Groundly. Identifying opportunities for recurring lawn maintenance. Identifying potential landscaping, cleanup, brush-clearing, vegetation-management, and seasonal-service projects. Representing Groundly professionally while working in local communities. Respecting homeowners who aren't interested and moving on professionally. You will NOT be responsible for creating estimates or determining final pricing.
Groundly handles:
Site visits Estimating Pricing Quotes Sales follow-up Scheduling Billing Completing the work Your job is to create the opportunity.
WHAT COUNTS AS A QUALIFIED LEAD?
We care about quality, not simply the number of names submitted. For a lead to qualify, the homeowner or property decision-maker should: Have a legitimate interest in a Groundly service. Agree to be contacted by Groundly. Provide their name. Provide a valid phone number and/or email. Provide the property/service address. Identify the service or project they're interested in. Have authority to request or approve work at the property. Simply writing down an address or submitting someone who hasn't requested contact does not count as a qualified lead. Duplicate leads, existing Groundly customers, customers already active in Groundly's sales pipeline, fraudulent leads, or people who didn't agree to be contacted do not qualify.
COMPENSATION
This is a performance-based opportunity designed to reward both lead generation and successful business generated for Groundly.
QUALIFIED LEAD
$10 for each qualifying lead.
COMPLETED ESTIMATE BONUS
Earn an additional $15 when your qualified lead results in a completed Groundly estimate/site visit.
ONE-TIME PROJECT COMMISSION
Earn 5% of qualifying collected revenue from one-time projects generated through your leads.
RECURRING CUSTOMER COMMISSION
For qualifying new recurring lawn-maintenance or property-maintenance customers you generate, earn 10% of the first three months of collected service revenue.
Example:
You generate a qualified homeowner interested in a landscaping project.
Qualified lead:
$10 Groundly completes the estimate: +$15 Customer hires Groundly for a $2,500 project and payment is collected: +$125 commission Total potential compensation from that lead: $150. A single quality lead can therefore be significantly more valuable than simply generating a large number of names. There is no set cap on performance-based earnings. Estimated earning potential may be approximately $20-$40+ per hour based on individual performance, lead quality, completed estimates, closed sales, collected revenue, and time spent prospecting. The $20-$40+ figure represents estimated earning potential based on performance and is NOT a guaranteed hourly wage. Actual earnings will vary. Commission on qualifying sales is paid based on revenue actually collected by Groundly. Canceled jobs, unpaid invoices, refunds, duplicate leads, existing customers, and leads already in Groundly's pipeline do not qualify for applicable commissions unless otherwise agreed upon.
SERVICES YOU CAN GENERATE LEADS FOR
Opportunities may include: Recurring lawn mowing Lawn and property maintenance Landscaping Spring cleanups Fall cleanups Leaf removal Brush cutting Vegetation management Overgrown-property cleanup Shrub and hedge maintenance Mulching and landscape-bed work Seasonal property services Other landscaping and exterior property-maintenance projects Recurring customers and larger property projects can create particularly valuable lead opportunities.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You don't need to be a landscaping expert. You don't need to know how to estimate jobs. And you don't need years of professional sales experience. We're looking for someone who is: Comfortable approaching homeowners. Confident starting conversations with people they haven't met before. Friendly and personable. Professional and respectful. Self-motivated. Goal-oriented. Reliable. Comfortable working independently. Able to handle rejection without getting discouraged. Organized enough to accurately record lead information. Motivated by performance-based compensation. Interested in sales, marketing, business development, home services, or entrepreneurship. Previous experience in any of the following can be helpful but is not required: Lead generation Canvassing Door-to-door sales Landscaping Lawn care Roofing Solar Pest control Home improvement Real estate prospecting Customer service Retail sales Fundraising Brand ambassador work Someone without previous experience who is outgoing, dependable, professional, and willing to talk with homeowners may still be a great fit.
REQUIREMENTS
Reliable transportation. Working smartphone. Reliable communication. Ability to travel throughout the local service area. Comfortable walking residential neighborhoods. Comfortable spending extended periods outdoors. Ability to accurately collect and submit customer information. Professional communication skills. Ability to work independently. Because this position involves field prospecting, applicants should be comfortable walking and working outdoors in normal seasonal conditions.
SCHEDULE
This opportunity offers flexibility. Prospecting should occur during reasonable hours when homeowners are likely to be available. Afternoons, early evenings, and weekends can be productive times for residential lead generation. This opportunity is results-oriented rather than based solely on the amount of time spent prospecting.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY
This position is intended to be structured as an independent contractor (1099) opportunity rather than a traditional salaried position. Compensation is performance-based, and earnings vary depending on results. Specific contractor terms, commission eligibility, payment timing, and other conditions will be provided and agreed upon before work begins.
WHY GROUNDLY?
Groundly is a growing local property-services company. That means the leads you generate aren't disappearing into a huge corporation. You'll be directly helping build our customer base and grow a local company. We're not looking for someone to simply hand out flyers or collect random addresses. We want someone who can create genuine conversations with homeowners and consistently bring qualified opportunities into the company. Groundly takes it from there. We handle the estimates. We build the quotes. We follow up. We close the work. We perform the service. You generate the opportunity and have the ability to earn additional compensation when those opportunities turn into real customers.
THIS MAY BE A GREAT FIT FOR SOMEONE WHO
Enjoys meeting new people. Isn't afraid to knock on doors. Wants flexible field work. Wants compensation tied to results. Understands that rejection is part of prospecting. Wants to develop real-world sales and lead-generation experience. Is interested in helping grow a local business. Can work independently without constant supervision. Wants the potential upside of commissions from successful leads.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply through Indeed and briefly tell us: 1. Any previous sales, lead-generation, customer-service, canvassing, landscaping, or door-to-door experience you have. 2. Why you're interested in a performance-based lead-generation opportunity. 3. Your general availability. 4. Whether you have reliable transportation. 5. Why you think you'd be comfortable approaching homeowners and starting conversations. Experience is helpful, but attitude, communication ability, professionalism, reliability, and the willingness to produce results matter more to us than having the perfect résumé.
