This role is ideal for a licensed health insurance professional who excels in leadership, coaching, customer service, and sales. The successful candidate will lead by example, helping drive departmental growth while maintaining a personal book of business and meeting individual sales goals. The Health Insurance Team Lead will be responsible for supervising agents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, providing training and mentorship, and delivering exceptional service to clients. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively serve our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Department Oversight Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the health insurance department. Lead, mentor, and support licensed agents to achieve individual and team performance goals. Monitor sales activity, productivity, and customer service standards. Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews. Assist with training new team members. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, retention, and client satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, carrier, and company regulations. Sales & Business Development Maintain an active role in health insurance sales and client acquisition. Meet or exceed individual sales goals and production targets. Educate clients on available health insurance options, benefits, and coverage plans. Conduct needs assessments and recommend suitable health insurance solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and referral partners. Follow up on leads and opportunities in a timely manner. Compliance & Administration Maintain accurate client records and documentation. Ensure all applications and enrollments are completed accurately and efficiently. Stay current on industry trends, carrier updates, and regulatory changes. Assist management with reporting, forecasting, and departmental planning. Required Qualifications Active and valid California Life & Health Insurance License . Minimum 3+ years of health insurance industry experience . Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience preferred. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Strong knowledge of individual, family, Medicare, and/or group health insurance products. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing a team of licensed insurance agents. Knowledge of Covered California and ACA marketplace plans. Experience with Medicare products and enrollment processes. Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement improvement strategies. Full time- in office position
Pay Rate:
$70,304 base + bonuses & commissions Schedule Monday-Friday 9:00 pm-6:00 pm or 10:00 pm-7:00 pm plus some Saturdays as needed
