The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our inventory is organized and accessible, contributing to a smooth shopping experience for our customers. This position involves receiving, stocking, and maintaining merchandise, as well as assisting with inventory control processes. Responsibilities Receive and unpack merchandise from shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition. Stock shelves and displays with products, maintaining an organized and visually appealing store layout. Assist in inventory management by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate restocking efforts and address any inventory issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales floor. Support shipping and receiving operations as needed, including preparing items for shipment. Operate equipment such as forklifts safely when required (training may be provided). Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries related to product availability and location. Requirements Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and customers. Ability to maintain organization within the stockroom and sales floor. Experience in inventory control or management is preferred but not mandatory. Prior experience in shipping and receiving is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods during shifts.
