Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the go-to person for managing fresh produce, ensuring that our shelves are well-stocked, appealing, and safe for customers. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about providing excellent customer service. You'll play a key part in maintaining a clean and efficient produce department while supporting overall store operations. Duties Stock and replenish fresh produce items, ensuring displays are attractive and organized. Use RF scanners to accurately track inventory levels and update stock records. Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting shortages or damages. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to move heavy loads around the warehouse or store. Maintain cleanliness of the produce area, including cleaning shelves, bins, and packaging stations. Support shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading deliveries efficiently. Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about produce options, prices, and freshness. Skills Experience in inventory control, stocking, or warehouse operations is highly desirable. Ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely. Strong organizational skills to keep the produce area neat and well-maintained. Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during shifts. Knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing and inventory tracking. Good customer service skills with a positive attitude to assist shoppers effectively.
