The position reports to the Grocery Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting each customer with, "Good (morning, afternoon, evening)! Welcome to Rouses!" Engaging in appropriate conversations with customers and thanking them for choosing to shop with us Stocking merchandise according to Rouses specifications Backstocking products appropriately Pulling items on the sales floor that are damaged or out-of-date and taking appropriate action Keeping empty cardboard/boxes neat and organized when on the sales floor Understanding the store layout to easily locate products for customers Completing assigned daily cleaning procedures Maintaining a professional personal brand representation in the proper Rouse's uniform Reporting to work on time and as scheduled Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

Prior experience working in a retail grocery department Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Physical Requirements:

Able to stand for extended periods of time Able to distinguish product quality and freshness standards Able to stoop, squat, reach and maneuver to move product, boxes, bags, shelving, carts and equipment Able to lift 50 lbs.
