Bow Street Market is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Pricing & Online Shopping Specialist to maintain accurate product, pricing, promotional, and scan-file information throughout the store while serving as the primary point person for the back end of our online shopping and store pickup operation. This position works closely with store management, associates, vendors, and customers to ensure pricing and product information is accurate, online orders are fulfilled efficiently, and customers receive excellent service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Maintain accurate item-file information, including product descriptions, UPCs, pricing, costs, and department information. Add new products and update existing products in store and online systems. Maintain accurate shelf pricing, tags, signs, and promotional pricing throughout the store and ensure we are making margin. Conduct routine scan tests and identify and resolve pricing, UPC, shelf-tag, and system discrepancies. Serve as the primary point person for the back end of the online shopping and store pickup operation. Monitor, pick, organize, stage, and prepare online orders for customer pickup and delivery. Maintain accurate online product information, pricing, and availability. Assist customers with substitutions, unavailable products, order questions, and other online-order issues as needed. Become trained and available to make customer deliveries, following all company delivery and safety procedures. Verify DSD deliveries, invoices, credits, quantities, and UPC information; communicate discrepancies to management or vendors. Become fully cashier-trained and provide backup cashier coverage as needed. Use computers, POS systems, online shopping platforms, and handheld devices to enter, retrieve, and review information. Work professionally with customers, associates, management, and vendors. Prioritize time-sensitive issues, communicate problems promptly, and follow through to resolution. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety, sanitation, food-safety, security, cash-handling, and loss-prevention procedures. Protect confidential company, pricing, promotional, and vendor information. Perform other related duties reasonably assigned by management.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable learning and using computers, POS systems, and other technology. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the store team. Willingness to learn multiple areas of store operations and provide support wherever needed. Previous grocery, retail, cashiering, inventory, pricing, or e-commerce experience is preferred but not required. Must meet company requirements for driving and delivery responsibilities. Qualifications and Education Requirements A high school graduate or equivalent preferred. Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills. Working knowledge of computers. Available to work specific days of the week and early morning shifts, especially the 1 day of the month; specific days of the week, early morning shifts, and midday shifts, including Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Effective interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment. Must meet minimum age requirements to comply with company policy. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills Lift cases weighing up to 40lbs at least 50% of the time Stand or walk 100% of the time Frequent kneeling, lifting, and squatting Frequent reaching, grasping, and lifting individual items below waist level or above shoulder level Utilize desktop and handheld computers to enter and retrieve data Ability to use desktop and handheld computers to enter and retrieve data. Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to four hours at a time

Pay:

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
