DESCRIPTION

Hours vary by week and includes overtime. Hours are either 5am - 1:30pm, 2:30 or 3:30pm with occasional Saturdays. SUMMARY- The Zone Leader position is responsible executing a tactical plan that moves the organization toward the short-term tactical objectives, continuous improvement, and flawless execution of our Manufacturing, Quality, and internal logistics to meet customer requirements. This position reports directly to a Manufacturing Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tactical execution to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and to develop team members. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the team members through the use of TPS concepts. Establish and maintain a proactive tempo of problem solving, identifying difficult and complex situations as well as solving the daily annoyances by conducting root-cause analysis with the goal of finding countermeasures that resolve the problem and best serve the Customer. Support the execution and deployment of a lean (TPS) culture Create and maintain visual management tools to highlight problems and team member struggles Foster a customer-focused, results-oriented, and high-performance environment. Support the launch of new products. Write and maintain operational controls that are deployed effectively to drive process and equipment efficiencies. Identify opportunities to reduce both process and product costs. Analyze workforce capabilities and equipment requirements to meet customer demand. Work with Operations leadership to identify the developmental needs of the team members.
