Maple Heights, OH Job Details Part-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Customer returns handling Moving Truck loading and unloading Full Job Description We're looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Back Room Manager to oversee daily back-room operations, including truck receiving and processing. This position is responsible for leading the back-room team, managing incoming merchandise, maintaining inventory organization, and ensuring freight is processed efficiently and moved to the sales floor.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily backroom and stockroom operations Lead and coordinate truck deliveries and truckday operations Receive, unload, and process merchandise from delivery trucks Verify incoming shipments and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies Sort, process, label, and organize incoming freight Delegate truck, stocking, and backroom assignments to team members Ensure truck merchandise is processed and moved to the sales floor in a timely manner Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving and stockroom area Supervise, train, and provide direction to backroom associates Replenish merchandise on the sales floor as needed Assist with inventory counts and resolve inventory discrepancies Properly process damaged, returned, or transferred merchandise Follow company safety, lossprevention, and operational procedures Communicate freight, inventory, and staffing needs with store management Assist with opening and closing responsibilities when needed
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, carry, push, and move 50 pounds or more as required Must be able to safely unload and move boxes and merchandise during truck deliveries Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks in a fastpaced environment
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and organized Ability to lead and motivate a team, especially during truck processing Strong timemanagement and multitasking skills Previous retail, stockroom, freight, receiving, or management experience preferred The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can take charge of truck days, keep freight moving efficiently, maintain an organized back room, and ensure the team stays productive.
