Position Overview:

The Dishroom & Stock Assistant supports the daily operations of the Devon Prep Café by maintaining a clean and organized dishroom, restocking food and beverage areas, and assisting with afternoon snack service. This position plays an important role in ensuring a smooth end-of-day transition and a clean, welcoming environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash, sanitize, and return all dishes, utensils, and equipment to the kitchen. Close and clean the dishroom, including sweeping and mopping floors. Stock the drink fridge and snack displays daily. Receive and put away vendor orders and deliveries. Operate the cash register for the afternoon snack period. Wipe down and maintain cleanliness of warm cases. Sweep and tidy the cafeteria, café, and staff dining areas at the end of each day. Wipe down all tables in the cafeteria, staff dining room, and Calasanctius area. Support kitchen team members with additional cleaning or restocking duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous food service, dishroom, or custodial experience preferred but not required. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
