Job Description

Aweta numbers citrus Sunrise Produce - 2.9 McAllen, TX Job Details Full-time $12.50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Microsoft Excel Packing ERP systems Moving High school diploma or GED Records management Productivity software Full Job Description The AWETA Citrus Numbers Clerk's primary responsibility is to maintain accurate production records for the AWETA packing equipment. This includes tracking incoming boxes for packing as well as outgoing boxes, whether first-grade, combo, waste, or mixed. The goal is to ensure that, lot by lot, incoming and outgoing boxes match in the repacking report. This position demands strong communication and agility, requiring constant interaction with the AWETA Operator, the equipment feeders, the forklift operator, the administrative assistant, and the shift supervisor. This ensures the smooth flow of both product and information, making these skills essential for the ideal candidate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain open and close communication with the Supervisor on duty, the AWETA Operator, the Forklift Operator, the Administrative Assistant, and the equipment feeders. Review the daily/shift Repacking Plan together with the Supervisor on duty and the AWETA Operator. Receive and review the repacks (from the Administrative Assistant) to be run on the AWETA and verify that the repacking sequence and batches are correct. Maintain communication with the Forklift Operator to ensure they bring the necessary batches to the machine for each repacking run. Receive the batches to be run and ensure they are correct before starting to feed the equipment. Mark the received batches so that the equipment feeders can identify when one batch ends and the next begins. Maintain close communication with the team's feeders to know the feeding status of each repackage at all times. Monitor the outflow of repackaged product (first quality, combos, and waste/mixed items) to record it in the physical repackage log. Monitor each repackage to identify when it is "closed" based on the incoming and outgoing boxes. Ensure that the information marked on the repackage is correct (labels vs. written record). Validate the information on each repackage with the information in the production report (generated by the system) to ensure accuracy (physical repackage vs. production report). Inspect pallets of finished product to ensure they adhere to the stacking and strapping standards defined by the company; also, ensure that the information on the labels per box matches the information on the pallet label, and finally, "release" the pallet if it meets all the previous requirements. Notify the Administrative Assistant each time a repackaging is completed and deliver the physical repackaging to them. Notify the Supervisor if any discrepancies are found between the physical repackaging, the production report, and the labels, or with the pallet stacking and securing. Assist, if necessary, with moving product in the finished goods receiving area. All of these activities are part of the job description; however, they do not represent an exhaustive list of the position's duties.
JOB PROFILE AND SKILLS
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. The AWETA Citrus Numbers Clerk must demonstrate knowledge of production number management or handling product input and output information in a warehouse or production environment. They must also possess strong communication skills and be highly proactive.
