We are a US-based manufacturer of precision optics, thin film coatings and optical assemblies with a prestigious customer base in the aerospace, defense, industrial medical laser, life science and semiconductor arenas. We are seeking a Technical Sales person to grow sales within OEM and Government customers. This person will have a strong sales background with technical products in OEM and Government environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Researches and prospects for new opportunities within current customer base as well as finding new OEM or government customers Handles inbound sales calls and converts calls into sales. Provides information to customers related to their technical specifications and requirements and company capabilities. Builds and maintains customer relationships. Works with internal departments to resolve job questions. Provides order status and is the primary customer contact post sale Travels to and attends up to four trade shows annually. Travels to customers periodically to strengthen and align relationships Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university preferred; with at least five to ten years related technical sales experience. Must possess an aptitude for Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Math to learn and understand customer needs and to present product offerings effectively to customers. Previous experience is technical sales desired. Must be detail-oriented and possess strong communication and relational skills. Ability to learn technical information is required. $70K + commissions (estimate $100K/yr comp package)
