Electronics Sales & Repair Associate Computers, Cell Phones & Batteries RadioShack / Batteries Etc. | 3850 E Gulf to Lake Hwy, Ste 11, Inverness, FL 34453 Part-Time to Start | $17/hour + Performance Hourly Rate Increases

This is not a traditional retail cashier position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with technology and has either existing knowledge or the demonstrated ability to learn electronics, batteries, computers, cell phones, troubleshooting, and basic device repair. You do not need to already know every skill listed below. However, you must be technically inclined, comfortable working with computers and electronic devices, and willing and able to learn new technical skills. Join the team at RadioShack / Batteries Etc. in Inverness, Florida. We are looking for a tech-savvy, customer-focused associate who can combine retail sales and customer service with hands-on technical work. You will help customers identify electronic components and batteries, troubleshoot devices, support cell phone activations, and perform or learn basic computer and mobile-device repairs. Key Responsibilities Assist customers in locating, identifying, and selecting small electronic components, including capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, fuses, bulbs, wire, connectors, switches, and related electronic products. Help customers identify and select batteries based on size, voltage, chemistry, terminal type, specifications, and application. Provide knowledgeable customer service by asking appropriate questions, researching products when necessary, and explaining technical products and solutions in clear, simple terms. Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately, including processing sales, payments, returns, and other customer transactions. Support cell phone sales, activation, setup, and related customer service. Perform or learn smartphone and tablet repairs, including screen, battery, charging-port, and other common component replacements and services. Perform or learn laptop and desktop computer troubleshooting and repair, including operating-system installation/reinstallation, software troubleshooting, data transfer, malware/virus cleanup, hardware replacement, and other common computer services. Use or learn basic multimeter testing for voltage and other appropriate electrical measurements. Perform or learn basic soldering and desoldering for electronic components, wires, connectors, batteries, and other appropriate repairs. Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, web browsers, email, and other computer applications for inventory, communication, product research, documentation, and reporting. Research unfamiliar products, model numbers, specifications, replacement parts, compatibility, and technical problems to help determine appropriate solutions for customers. Receive, unpack, inspect, price, label, stock, and organize incoming merchandise. Maintain accurate inventory and keep products properly stocked, organized, labeled, and easy for customers and employees to locate. Assist with inventory counts and identifying inventory discrepancies when required. Maintain product displays, shelves, counters, work areas, and other areas of the store in an organized and professional condition. Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a clean, safe, and professional retail environment. Answer telephone calls and assist customers with product availability, technical questions, services, and other store-related inquiries. Follow store procedures for customer service, sales, repairs, inventory, security, and handling merchandise. Learn new products, technologies, repair procedures, and services as the business evolves. Work independently when required, identify tasks that need attention, and complete assigned responsibilities without requiring continuous supervision. Assist with other reasonable store, sales, technical, inventory, and operational duties as assigned. Previous retail, technical sales, electronics, computer repair, or mobile-device repair experience is a plus, but professional repair experience is not required for a candidate with strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn. Compensation & Opportunity $17 per hour starting pay + Performance Hourly Rate Increases Part-time to start. On-the-job training and opportunities to expand technical skills and responsibilities.
