Technical Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Assistant Technical Manager to oversee and manage commercial TV distribution systems and network infrastructure. In this role, you will work with commercial headend video systems—such as Direc

TV COM1000 / COM

Box and Dish Evolve—eliminating the need for individual set-top boxes in every room by centralizing equipment in main cabinets. You will also oversee Wi-Fi networking setups and manage technical equipment procurement.

Key Responsibilities System Installation & Management:

Work with centralized commercial TV systems (DirecTV COM Box / COM1000, Dish Evolve) to deliver signal throughout properties without individual room receivers.

Networking & Hardware Setup:

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi networking setups and related network infrastructure.

Equipment Procurement:

Research, source, and purchase all required technical hardware and equipment.

Team & Operations Support:

Assist the Technical Manager in daily technical operations, project management, and quality control.

Qualifications & Experience Technical Background:

Experience in cable, satellite, or commercial video distribution (background with DirecTV, Dish, or training programs like Mastech is highly preferred).

Vendor & Distributor Knowledge:

Experience working with commercial satellite/AV distributors such as Mace, PDI, or DSI.

Networking Expertise:

Strong working knowledge of Wi-Fi networking, IP video distribution, and network equipment.

Purchasing:

Ability to manage inventory and procure technical hardware accurately.

Leadership:

Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly under the Technical Manager to support operations.

Schedule & Hours Initial Period:

30 hours per week during a 90-day trial period.

Full-Time Transition:

Opportunity to transition to full-time status based on performance and fit after 90 days.

Pay:

From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
