DIAZ SHELTON INSURANCE GROUP
Marketing Representative (Part-Time) Your First Step Into an Insurance Career Part-Time | $20/Hour + Incentives | About Diaz Shelton Insurance Group Diaz Shelton Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency based in Arizona, appointed with over 40 top-rated carriers. We specialize in personal lines (home, auto, umbrella) and commercial insurance, and maintain a 97% client retention rate. We're building our next generation of producers from the ground up — this role is where that starts. Position Summary This is not a call-center job with no future. It's a part-time, flexible-hours role where you'll learn the insurance business, build real communication and sales skills, and set qualified appointments for our producers — with a clear, structured path to becoming a licensed, uncapped-commission producer yourself within about six months. No insurance license required. Pay & Incentives $20.00/hour, W-2, part-time, flexible scheduling +$10 per qualified appointment held (not just booked — we pay for appointments that actually happen) +$10 per policy that binds from an appointment you set, within 60 days — you get credit even though a producer closes it There's no commission risk in this role and no experience required — just a willingness to get on the phone, learn fast, and build toward something bigger. Schedule Built around a student, parent, or early-career schedule, not a standard 9-to-5: Daytime block: Monday-Thursday, 10:00 AM-4:30 PM Evening block: Monday and Tuesday, 4:30 PM-7:30 PM Work the daytime block, the evening block, or a mix of both — target 15-25 hours/week, adjusted as needed for the business and employee. Your Path to Becoming a
Producer Long-Term Insurance Professional Timeline What You're Doing:
Months 1-3 Learn our products and carriers, shadow producers, build your appointment-setting skills Months 3-6 Hit consistent performance benchmarks; we fund your Arizona pre-licensing coursework Month 6+ Pass your licensing exam and move into our producer track — real base pay plus uncapped commission, with priority lead access from day one. What You'll Do Make outbound calls to prospective clients to build interest and schedule appointments Qualify leads and get them on a producer's calendar Log every call outcome in the CRM. Learn our products, carriers, and sales process from experienced producers Follow a compliance-reviewed script — you'll never be asked to quote coverage or pricing before you're licensed Qualifications Required Comfortable making outbound phone calls and handling rejection professionally Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in a sales career Reliable, coachable, and organized Preferred Interest in eventually becoming a licensed insurance producer Prior customer service, retail, or phone-based work experience Familiarity with CRM tools Why Start Here? Most people trying to break into insurance sales either get thrown into a commission-only role cold, a call-center, or never get a real shot at all.
This role is different:
you get paid an hourly wage to learn the business, build real skills alongside the founders, and prove yourself. If you're hungry to build a career or don't know what to do post-school, this is the on-ramp. Insurance is a lucrative career, with residual income, and a flexibility in schedule and location.
Pay:
$20.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
Benefits:
Paid training
Work Location:
In person
