Outbound Telemarketer Overview Fun Time Central operates a growing network of local websites that help people discover businesses, restaurants, attractions, and events in their area. We are looking for a reliable and confident part-time Outbound Telemarketer to contact local businesses already listed on our websites. You will usually ask to speak with the owner or manager, confirm their contact information, introduce their free business listing, and explain available advertising options when appropriate. This is a part-time hybrid position with a combination of working from home and working in our local office. We offer flexible scheduling between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM. You will not necessarily work that entire period. Your specific schedule and number of hours will be agreed upon in advance. This position includes commission opportunities based on successful advertising sales. Details about the commission structure will be discussed during the hiring process. We provide the calling system, contact lists, scripts, training, and clear instructions. You must be comfortable speaking with business owners, handling common questions, and accurately recording the result of every call. Duties Make outbound calls to local businesses using our calling system Ask for the owner, manager, or person responsible for advertising Confirm the correct contact name, email address, and mailing address Let businesses know they are listed on one of our local Fun Time websites Briefly explain how businesses can review, claim, or update their listing Introduce featured advertising options when appropriate Generate advertising sales and earn commission on successful sales Follow provided scripts while sounding natural and conversational Answer basic questions and respond professionally to objections Record accurate notes and call outcomes in our system Complete follow-up calls when assigned Meet reasonable daily calling and contact goals Provide feedback about common questions and responses from businesses Qualifications Previous telemarketing, call-center, customer-service, or outbound-calling experience Clear and professional spoken English Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls Able to sound friendly and natural without reading a script word for word Confident speaking with business owners and managers Comfortable hearing "no" and moving on to the next call Strong listening skills and attention to detail Able to enter accurate information while speaking on the phone Dependable internet connection and a quiet place to make calls from home Able to commute to our local office for scheduled in-office work Comfortable learning a web-based calling system and customer database Reliable, coachable, and able to work independently Motivated to earn commission through successful advertising sales Business-to-business calling or local advertising experience is helpful but not required. We care most about reliability, communication skills, professionalism, and your ability to have a normal conversation with the person answering the phone.

Pay:

$15.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 18.0 per week
