2988837300-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Sherwin-Williams seeks a Sr. Chemist to lead R D of innovative paints and coatings for manufacturing customers. You will design and optimize formulations, run experiments, analyze data, and scale products from lab to production. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure performance, safety and regulatory compliance while solving complex product issues. Responsibilities Design, formulate and optimize coatings and paint systems for manufacturing and industrial applications Plan and execute lab experiments, analyze data, and document results to support product development Scale successful formulations from lab to pilot and production in partnership with manufacturing teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R D, quality, operations and marketing to meet customer and regulatory requirements Conduct performance, stability and application testing to ensure product quality and safety Investigate product or process issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions Maintain accurate lab records, technical reports and specifications in accordance with company standards Stay current on new raw materials, technologies and industry trends to drive innovation Required Skills Coatings formulation Polymer/organic chemistry Analytical testing (viscosity, rheology, adhesion, durability) Experimental design and data analysis Scale-up from lab to production Raw material selection and optimization Regulatory and safety compliance for coatings Root cause analysis and troubleshooting Technical documentation and reporting Cross-functional collaboration
