Standard Day Shift Position Overview We are seeking a QC Scientist I to support quality control testing within a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory. This position will perform analytical testing of stability and product-release samples while supporting internal manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemistry and laboratory practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to accurately document and communicate analytical results in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. Key Responsibilities Perform chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical products using established and compendial analytical methods. Conduct validated testing of pharmaceutical finished products, including traditional wet chemistry techniques. Perform analytical testing on stability and release samples. Utilize chromatographic, spectroscopic, and other laboratory analytical techniques as required. Review test results and identify out-of-specification, unexpected, or non-routine results. Document testing activities, observations, calculations, and analytical results accurately and according to laboratory procedures. Communicate test results and potential product or analytical issues to appropriate teams. Work closely with internal departments to support manufacturing and quality operations. Assist with identifying potential solutions to analytical or product-related problems. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Clean and maintain laboratory instrumentation, equipment, and testing materials. Perform all activities in accordance with SOPs, GMP, GLP, and applicable safety requirements . Maintain required compliance and training standards. Required Qualifications Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related physical or biological science field. Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred. Experience performing chemical testing using chromatographic, spectroscopic, or other analytical techniques. Working knowledge of chemistry and analytical instrumentation. Understanding of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis. Knowledge of pharmaceutical quality and regulatory requirements, including GMP standards . Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply basic mathematical principles to laboratory work. Preferred Skills Experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory . Familiarity with validated analytical methods. Experience with Empower or similar laboratory data systems. Knowledge of stability and release testing. Experience working in a regulated GMP/GLP environment. Ability to identify unusual analytical results and appropriately escalate concerns. Work Environment This is a laboratory-based position supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality operations. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with laboratory instrumentation, chemical testing procedures, documentation systems, and established safety and compliance requirements.
