Lundbeck seeks a Senior Scientist, Formulation Development to design and optimize drug product formulations supporting neuroscience therapies. Based in Deerfield, IL, you will develop robust oral and parenteral dosage forms, perform pre-formulation and stability studies, and troubleshoot CMC challenges across development stages. You will collaborate closely with analytical, process, and clinical teams, author technical reports and regulatory documentation, and contribute to technology transfer. This role suits a hands-on formulation expert motivated by patient-focused innovation and cross-functional teamwork in brain health. Responsibilities Design and optimize oral and parenteral formulations for neuroscience drug candidates. Plan and execute pre-formulation, compatibility, and stability studies. Characterize physical and chemical properties relevant to dosage form performance. Collaborate with analytical, process, clinical, and regulatory teams on CMC strategy. Support scale-up, technology transfer, and troubleshooting with manufacturing sites. Author technical reports, protocols, and CMC sections for regulatory submissions. Apply Do E and Qb D principles to develop robust formulations and processes. Interpret complex data, draw conclusions, and present findings to project teams. Ensure compliance with FDA, ICH, and internal quality standards in all development work. Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused culture.
