Research and Genetics Navigator Role:
8:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday - Thursday, 8am -2pm FridayMay require an adjustment of schedule to accommodate departmental need.

This position is based within Jefferson Regional Practice ManagementIn this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected.
Job Summary:
The Research and Genetics Navigator collaborates with other clinical research and genetic science professionals. They meet with patients to gather information about medical history for diagnostic purposes. This role performs examinations, genetic test, and clinical research for diagnostic purpose. The Research and Genetics Navigator provides genetic counseling and clinical research education and consent to patients and providers.
Research and Genetics Navigator Qualifications:
Bachelors DegreeMasters Degree in Nursing preferred.

Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferredBLS Required upon hire or within 30 days of hire.

Oncology Certified Nurse Certification preferred.

Genetic Certification preferred.
NIDA GCP
Certification will be required within 30 days of hire.

Ability to speak a second language is an asset, but not required.

Skilled with standard computer programs including the MS Office suite and clinical trial database infrastructure preferred.

Prior experience in training and mentoring staff members is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able present professionally clinical trial information to large groups.

Superior organizational and time management skills Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and also as part of a teamUnderstanding of medical terminology as well as standard clinical procedures and protocols Prior clinical research preferred and hands on patient service experience is required Benefits & Perks - your health and happiness matters!
