The Clinical Research Coordinator I provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team coordinating research activities. The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and conducting baseline concussion assessments, follow-up assessments post injury, and assisting with the oversight and collection of head impact data for collegiate athletics teams and/or physical education courses (combatives, boxing). There may be additional opportunities to help with other lines of research (Lower Extremity Injury Prevention, Post-Traumatic Osteoarthritis) supported by the Orthopaedic Research Department at KACH. This position is located at Keller Army Community Hospital (KACH) in West Point, NY under PI Dr. Kenneth Cameron. This position will primarily support the research portfolio related to concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) at Keller Army Hospital and the United States Military Academy. MTBI2 is a federal military traumatic brain injury (TBI) research program organized as a partnership between the Uniformed Services University and the National Institutes of Health. MTBI2 supports a wide range of research from pre-clinical models to investigational projects and clinical trials research on TBI and its comorbidities. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.
