Job Description

The mission of African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC) is to educate Catholic women religious in Africa to strengthen their leadership capacity to provide services that address local and global challenges. Job Summary The African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC) is a nonprofit organization headquartered at Marywood University with a mission to educate Catholic women religious in Africa to strengthen their leadership capacity to provide services that address local and global challenges. The Research Coordinator, Research, Monitoring, & Evaluation (RME), will support planning, coordinating, and conducting research that contributes to ASEC's mission and program learning. ASEC implements, monitors, evaluates, and conducts research related to education programs for Catholic sisters in 11 countries in Africa. The Research Coordinator will work closely with the Director of RME to coordinate research projects from planning through dissemination. The Research Coordinator will collaborate with the RME team and other ASEC staff to contribute to the development of research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other publications that communicate findings to internal and external audiences. Requirements Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in research, social sciences, education, public health, or a related field preferred. Experience coordinating or conducting research projects; knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods; strong organizational and project coordination skills; written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze and interpret research data; experience preparing research reports, manuscripts, presentations, or other publications. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and research/data management tools such as SurveyMonkey, SPSS, NVivo, or similar research software preferred; ability to work independently and collaboratively with a geographically distributed team. Interest in ASEC's mission and the experiences and contributions of Catholic sisters in Africa preferred.
