Job Overview Alpha-Omega Training and Compliance (AOTC) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team and drive our commitment to environmental excellence. Our team of dedicated environmental professionals tackles challenging projects for leading organizations across the industry. We take pride in delivering high-quality service, developing innovative solutions, and exceeding our clients' expectations This is a full-time, field-oriented position with responsibilities spanning environmental inspections, multi-media sampling, treatment-system operation and maintenance (O&M), equipment maintenance, and materials testing. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, contractors, and other field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with regulatory and client requirements. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, problem-solving, technical challenges, and working outdoors. You'll have opportunities to work on a variety of environmental projects while receiving technical training and developing skills for long-term career advancement. Responsibilities Conduct environmental field investigations, inspections, sampling, and site testing. Collect, label, document, package, and transport environmental samples to laboratories in accordance with established procedures. Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot environmental treatment systems. Maintain accurate field logs, O&M records, sampling documentation, and project reports. Inspect, maintain, and verify the proper operation of field testing and monitoring equipment. Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Supervisors, contractors, clients, and other project personnel. Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and within established project schedules. Follow company, client, and OSHA safety requirements, including proper personal protective equipment (PPE) use and site-specific safety procedures. Participate in required technical training, certifications, and professional development. Perform other duties as assigned to support project and company objectives. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, extended shifts, and occasional overnight stays as project requirements dictate 2+ years of environmental fieldwork and treatment-system O&M experience. Current 40-Hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
certification and required 8-hour refresher training. Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to safely operate company vehicles. Ability to pass a background check for access to federal facilities. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic mathematical skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and various units of measure. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, manuals, reports, and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate sampling, testing, and documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field. 3+ years of environmental fieldwork and treatment-system O&M experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment. Experience with ArcGIS. Experience working with environmental contaminants such as chlorinated compounds, petroleum compounds, PCBs, PFAS, and metals. Experience conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standards. Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures. Experience working at active industrial, aerospace, or other highly regulated facilities. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
