No previous environmental consulting, telecommunications, NEPA, or Section 106 experience is required. compliance, Section 106 consultation, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, environmental research, regulatory coordination, and project management. About Lotis Lotis Environmental is a national environmental consulting firm specializing in environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance for the wireless communications and commercial real estate industries. From our Buffalo headquarters, we support projects throughout the country. We are a small, collaborative company where employees receive hands-on training, work directly with experienced professionals, and have opportunities to grow into technical and project-management roles. What You'll Do Assist with environmental reviews for telecommunications and commercial real estate projects Support FCC NEPA and Section 106 compliance activities Research environmental, historic, and cultural-resource information Review maps, aerial photographs, topographic maps, site plans, photographs, and project records Assist with the preparation of FCC Forms 620 and 621 Prepare and submit correspondence to agencies, Tribal Nations, clients, and other consulting parties Coordinate public notices and track required review periods Track agency responses, deadlines, missing information, and project progress Assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments Review environmental database reports and historical property records Maintain accurate and organized project documentation Communicate with clients, agencies, consultants, and internal team members Participate in environmental site visits as needed Assist with other environmental and project-support tasks as workloads and priorities change Who You Are You may be a great fit if you: Are interested in beginning a career in the environmental field Are highly organized and pay close attention to details Enjoy research, writing, maps, and problem-solving Take pride in producing complete and accurate work Can manage multiple projects and deadlines Communicate clearly and provide updates without needing to be asked Are comfortable asking questions and learning new processes Can follow detailed procedures while also using good judgment Follow assignments through to completion Are willing to help with different types of environmental work as needed QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, geology, geography, anthropology, historic preservation, planning, or a related field Strong research, writing, proofreading, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines Ability to work collaboratively from our Buffalo office Willingness to learn environmental regulations and new technical processes Helpful but Not Required Environmental internship, fieldwork, research, or project experience Familiarity with GIS or online mapping programs Coursework involving environmental regulations, NEPA, historic preservation, ecology, geology, or environmental assessments Experience reviewing technical reports or conducting detailed research Prior NEPA, Section 106, environmental consulting, and telecommunications experience is not required. We will provide training.
