12-hour shifts | Day and night coverage required Job Description Gem State Staffing in Pocatello is hiring 4 dependable Firewatch personnel for a temporary industrial project in American Falls, Idaho! This is an opportunity for candidates who are safety-minded, alert, reliable, and comfortable working long shifts in an industrial work environment. Firewatch personnel will help monitor designated work areas for potential fire hazards, remain alert during operations, and follow established safety procedures throughout the assignment. Candidates must be dependable, able to maintain focus for extended periods, and available to work the required 12-hour shift schedule. This project is expected to last approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on the progress and completion timeline of the job. Pay & Schedule

4 positions

• Shift length: 12 hours
• Project duration: Approximately 3-4 weeks Shift Coverage The project is scheduled to begin Monday at 10:00 AM.
• Day shift: 2 employees work from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
• Night shift: 2 employees relieve the day crew at 10:00 PM and work until 10:00 AM the following morning.
• This rotation will continue to provide around-the-clock coverage throughout the project.
• Applicants must be available for the assigned shift and committed to the required schedule for the duration of the assignment. Job Responsibilities
• Monitor designated work areas for fire hazards during industrial operations.
• Maintain awareness of surrounding activities and changing job-site conditions.
• Watch for sparks, smoke, flames, and other potential fire hazards.
• Follow site-specific firewatch procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain communication with designated personnel and immediately report unsafe conditions.
• Know and follow emergency notification and response procedures.
• Maintain required firewatch equipment and ensure it is readily accessible.
• Remain attentive and focused throughout the assigned shift.
• Complete required documentation and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
• Follow all site safety requirements and instructions from authorized supervisors. Qualifications
• Previous firewatch, industrial safety, construction, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Firewatch training or certification may be required based on site requirements.
• Strong awareness of workplace hazards and commitment to safety.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and respond appropriately to safety concerns.
• Must be able to work the assigned day or night shift in American Falls.
• Must be available for the temporary project duration.
